ACEC Texas hosts an annual Project Management Training Series.

PM Training Details:

Effective and efficient delivery of projects is the mainstay of every engineering firm. The skills and knowledge of your project managers have a direct impact on the revenue growth and profitability of your firm. This 2-Day Project Management Seminar will help you learn valuable lessons in the area of project delivery

Your Project Managers will learn how to:

  • Bring projects in on time and under budget
  • Actively manage the client relationship
  • Effectively control “scope creep”
  • Balance quality and budget
  • Create budgets and schedules to produce success

The Project Management Seminar is broken up into four modules over 2 days:

  • Module 1: Successful Practitioner Profiles And Practices
  • Module 2: Planning: The Foundation Of Successful Projects
  • Module 3: Managing: Balancing The Dynamic Project Elements Of Risk And Change
  • Module 4: Controlling: Practitioner Accountability For Results

Leadership Academy

ACEC Texas hosts our continuing series of the Consulting Engineering Leadership Academy – a leadership-training program for young principals and others identified as future leaders in member firms.

The program is designed for individuals with approximately 4-1 years’ experience in the industry and who are identified as potential leaders of your firms. Approximately thirty-five individuals our selected through registration and recommendation. Participants will be expected to participate in four sessions, which will be presented in four modules: Leadership Skills, Business Management Skills, Vision and Strategic Thinking & The External Environment.

Leadership Forum speakers and seminar leaders have included a number of prominent management consultants to the engineering and construction industry:

PPC Public Affairs Conference

The ACEC Texas’ Public Policy Council is responsible for establishing the overall legislative priorities of ACEC Texas and guiding legislative and public affairs strategy. During the legislative session, the PPC Steering Committee meets every month to discuss pending legislation and determine ACEC Texas’ position.

The PPC holds several conferences and events each calendar year for the PPC members and Special Invited Guests. This is a chance for the PPC Members to interact with the Special Invited Guests in an informal basis.
