Wayne Swafford, PE, serves as the Chief Development Officer for Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) and its parent company, LEO A DALY. With more than 30 years of distinguished experience in civil engineering, Wayne spearheads strategic initiatives aimed at fostering significant business growth, cultivating robust client relationships, and uncovering new and promising market opportunities to enhance LAN’s standing in the industry.
Since joining LAN in 2017 as Executive Vice President, Wayne has leveraged his deep expertise from previous executive roles at Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and AECOM Technology Corporation, where he effectively led large-scale projects and teams. His broad experience includes facility operations, infrastructure improvements, and business development, consistently delivering enhanced efficiency and measurable value for clients.
An enthusiastic advocate for the engineering profession, Wayne has notably contributed to leadership roles within the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) in both Illinois and Texas, the Construction Management Association of America, and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He remains deeply committed to mentoring emerging professionals and actively promoting innovation and excellence in civil engineering.
