Join us for the July chapter meeting when A.J. Rodriguez, Chairman of the Board of Texas Association of Business, the state's Chamber of Commerce, will update us on TAB's expectations and plans for the next legislative session statewide and locally. A.J. is Vice President of External Affairs and serves on the Executive Leadership Team of Zachry Group and has a long resume in the region's business community. Catch up with your colleagues and a busy summer of activities!

We are happy to have A.J. Rodriguez join us a special guest at our July membership meeting. As Chairman of the state's Chamber of Commerce, Texas Association of Business (TAB), A.J. will provide an overview and expectations of the next legislative session, issues of note that affect all Texas industries, and the impact on our regional firms.

 A.J. Rodriguez is Vice President of External  Affairs and serves on the Executive  Leadership Team of Zachry Group,  a  privately held business engaged primarily in the engineering, construction, and maintenance of large industrial facilities in   North America.  

A.J.'s extensive resume includes serving as Deputy City Manager for the City of San Antonio; Interim  Economic  Development  Director, where he completed the City’s first Disparity Study; the first Executive Director of the City of San Antonio’s  Economic  Development Corporation; serving as President & CEO of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and he also served as Vice President at the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. 
In 2015, A.J.  began  a  five-year  term  as  an  officer  of  the  Board  of  Directors of the Texas  Association  of Business. He was unanimously endorsed to serve as Chairman of the Board in 2018; and he is proud to serve as the organization’s first Latino chairman. TAB represents thousands of businesses across the state and is the voice of public policy issues affecting Texas' companies. Its goals are enhancing the Texas business climate and making the economy strong for all industries.  
A.J. is heavily involved in numerous professional and civic organizations and has received honors too extensive to list.  We hope you'll join us and hear his perspectives on the Texas economy AND catch up on other local activities!
