Garver: Central Regional Wastewater System Master Plan and Modeling Project for the Trinity River Authority of Texas

The Trinity River Authority of Texas (TRA) embarked on a complex $3.38 million Master Plan and Modeling Project for the 189 MGD Central Regional Wastewater System Treatment Plant. The team (TRA, Garver, CH2M, CP&Y, and APAI) conducted evaluations to provide a defensible, holistic master plan for 2040 to manage an estimated 405 MGD of flow. The plan included developing a first-ever whole plant process and hydraulic models. The master plan utilized a unique project approach and included stakeholders throughout TRA to develop a $470 million capital improvement program, including 39 projects focused on reducing operational costs.
