Huitt-Zollars: Love Field Modernization Program

The Love Field Modernization Program (LFMP) is a joint effort by Southwest Airlines and the City of Dallas to transform Dallas Love Field airport into a convenient and modern airport. The LFMP originally selected Huitt-Zollars to provide civil engineering design services for the airside apron portion of the program. Later, the landside civil design component was added to Huitt-Zollars’ scope of work. Project construction was contained within the existing (small) airport footprint. Known as The LFMP Shuffle, the project demanded constant, highly detailed coordination to safely maintain normal, daily Love Field operations while successfully constructing improvements.
